THE CONCEPT OF
THE UNIVERSITY OF THE FUTURE

UNIVERSITY NEWS :Mr. Hübner, you as the developer of the University of the Future, could you tell us in few words the basic difference between the University of the Future and the con­ven­tional university? For by comparing them it might be easier to understand ‘the new’ of the University of the Future.

PETER HÜBNER: As can be seen from the curriculum and in particular from the Logical Path, the UNIVERSITY OF THE FUTURE is not a usual university limiting itself to the first three of twenty-one states of consciousness that can be verified by science: but it is a scientific research, development and edu­ca­tion institution which concentrates in its focus on exploring universal natural knowledge (COGNITION), developing uni­ver­sal natural creativity (CREATIVITY), and teaching universal natural har­mony (HARMONY) – by scientifically-artistically applying the harmony laws of the microcosm of music, or of na­ture and of the Creator.

   
EDUCATION WORLD ASSOCIATION: Mr. Hübner, for­tu­nately we had time to become acquainted via internet with the structure of your concept of a University of the Future and to study it thoroughly.
(Remark of the editorial department: Already a few months be­fore the congress, Peter Hübner had given the congress par­tici­pants via internet access to his drafts for structuring the Uni­ver­sity of the Future. That is, early enough before the “Days of Universality” the participants had this draft at their disposal via a special login in order to study it and get familiar with it).

   
That it was not easy for us – I can, of course, speak here only for the group of the education experts – to follow your edu­ca­tional concept, which for the present conditions is totally unusual and also revolutionary in its substance, you will certainly un­der­stand.
Nevertheless, if one looks closer, it unfolds an enormous at­trac­tion which one cannot evade even if one does not really fathom and understand it – it stands before one like a phantom: one is al­most inclined to say: “extraterrestrial”.

   
DRAGON UNIVERSITY: But that it really is, for it is con­ceived as a human-cosmic training program. Who, for instance, con­nects the dragon with a university? But the dragon, in its age-old mythological symbolism, depicts without doubt the in­te­gra­tion of mind and self: of thinking and self-cognition – and thus embodies ultimately: the eigenfunction of the intellect how Peter Hübner portrays it in his curriculum from the fifteenth state of con­scious­ness on.
Here we are specially concerned with the cosmic development of the human being who is biologically prepared for these de­vel­op­ments.

   
RELIGION RESEARCH UNIVERSITY: I know, all this is al­ready “relatively” clear to me – but nevertheless I cannot help still finding it amazing. And we will come across the most as­ton­ish­ing reactions among our colleagues in the conventional uni­ver­si­ties once this new structure of the University of the Future is in­tro­duced to them.
Seen from the narrow angle they are used to they step here onto a totally unknown stretch of intellectual-emotional road, and that is why they consider it to be almost impassable – until they then, perhaps at a later point in time, will be able to recognize that the name “DRAGON UNIVERSITY” conceals a deep meaning, which ought to be practically unraveled.

   
DRAGON UNIVERSITY: What at the university can be equalled to the significance of the intellect – and in addition, of an intellect which integrates feeling and understanding in uni­ver­sal ei­gen­func­tion?
That this phenomenon of a cosmically developed intellect, swing­ing in universal eigenfunction, is initially likely to be con­sid­ered as “extraterrestrial” by the conventional universities, to this we will have to get accustomed!

   
EDUCATION WORLD COUNCIL: After this trip to the cos­mic world of the dragon I want to ask a simple practical question on behalf of my guild regarding the aspect of education at this Uni­ver­sity of the Future:

Which role plays the talent in this study?

   
As is known, the universities so far do not have any specific train­ing of “talent” as such – here specially the ambitious uni­ver­si­ties are prepared to pick out the “most talented” among the ap­pli­cants by special examination and selection methods, in order to get and/or maintain in this way a good reputation as a university in regard to its academic performance.
But by using such established selection methods they just admit that they do not know how to promote talent as such – they can at best make use of it.

   
CREATIVITY WORLD FORUM: And then there is still the ques­tion here whether these universities select according to real talent or simply for the needs of the market. For, that they are not able to further talent as such, lets one conclude that they also do not have any idea about it – that they do not know at all, what “talent” is.
