DAYS OF UNIVERSALITY
BACKGROUND

This concept was to provide the academic research, development and teaching program for a whole series of new International Universities, which in part were still to be launched in the framework of this convention.

Under the auspices of these newly created International Universities then an institute was to be founded, which was to integrate the teaching contents of these universities and receive the task of presenting and offering this universal curriculum to the conventional universities of the world.

The invited guests had been hand-picked and were no newcomers in regard to the aspect of universality. All of them, without exception, had taken a close look to that aspect of “universality” for quite some time already, from which the university carries its name and in this respect they were well prepared for this meeting.

From the ranks of these active friends and supporters of that idea “Universal University of the Future” already a multitude of organizations had formed during the last years – universities, academies, centers, foundations, councils, associations, societies up to many forums, which now spread this idea.

And so the active members not seldom presented themselves already in the name of these their organizations and forums and asked their questions they had already prepared for this meeting – often also in the name of their friends at home.

However, it was only subsequent to this first meeting on these DAYS OF UNIVERSALITY in NUREMBERG’S MASTERSINGER HALL that the discussion about the “UNIVERSAL UNIVERSITY OF THE FUTURE” got really kindled. And so, in the following year – in small meetings, but particularly in the closed internet-forums – ever new arguments were raised and collected, which finally let this debate grow to this present form of the INTRODUCTION of the UNIVERSITY OF THE FUTURE – by now a quite considerable critical work on academic education.
